“It is the responsibility of the whole Catholic community to strive toward the goal of making Catholic elementary schools available, accessible and affordable to all Catholic parents and children.”
(Mission statement – Conference of Catholic Bishops).
Through the efforts of a generous anonymous donor, the Seton Catholic School Tuition Assistance Endowment Fund was established. Seton Catholic School has secured life-time benefits by receiving continued financial support for tuition assistance for generations to come. The annual income distribution from the endowment is awarded to families in need.
The Endowment continues to grow with the addition of the Pat and Jeanette Walker Fund. Mr. and Mrs. Walker were lifelong supporters of Catholic education and Seton Catholic School. They were passionate about their Catholic faith. It is an honor to know that a gift in their name and memory is helping students receive a Catholic education who otherwise might not have the opportunity.
Please consider contributing a gift toward the endowment that will help families afford the faith-based, excellent education we offer at Seton Catholic School. Contact Mrs. Susan Roubic, Director of Development, 330-342-4200 ext. 232 or roubics@setoncatholicschool.org. All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Teachers are the heart of Seton Catholic. They shape the lives of our children and fuel their growth and development each day. The lessons they teach extend beyond the classroom, helping us raise morally conscious leaders. To recognize and support these important people, the Teacher Endowment Fund was established to fund faculty salaries and resources. Outstanding teachers are the hallmark of an independent private Catholic school education. Donating to the Teacher Endowment Fund honors our teachers and the impact they make on our children’s lives today – and ensures that commitment to excellence continues in perpetuity. Through this fund, the administration will be able to offer teachers incentives to continue their work at Seton Catholic School and reward their dedication and ministry to our students. The Teacher Endowment Fund will help in the recruitment and retention of excellent teachers by helping to bridge the gap between the salaries of Seton teachers and their counterparts in the public school system. A growing endowment will protect Seton’s most valuable assets now and into the future.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match your charitable contributions. This is an easy way to double or triple your gift. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, contact your Human Resources department or call Mrs. Roubic (330) 342-4200 ext. 232 or by email at roubics@setoncatholicschool.org.
Giving appreciated stock to Seton Catholic School is a wonderful way to help us continue our mission and for the owner to receive tax benefits on such gifts. It allows Seton to receive a larger gift than if it was sold by the owner and the proceeds donated to the school. In turn, the owner receives a greater tax deduction by giving the stock directly to Seton Catholic School. Contact Mrs. Roubic (330) 342-4200 ext. 232 or by email at roubics@setoncatholicschool.org for more information and for the Stock/Security Transfer Form.
A simple, flexible and versatile way to ensure we can continue our work for years to come is a gift in your will or living trust, known as a charitable bequest. A charitable bequest is one or two sentences in your will or living trust that leave to Seton Catholic School a specific amount of money or gift contingent upon certain events or a percentage of your estate. By including a bequest to Seton in your will or living trust, you are ensuring that we can continue our mission for years to come. Your gift also entitles your estate to an unlimited federal estate tax charitable deduction. Contact Mrs. Roubic (330) 342-4200 ext. 232 or by email at roubics@setoncatholicschool.org for more information.
