Cross-Country:  Boys and girls in grades 3-8 can participate in cross-country.  Practices start in August in Hudson Springs Park.  Athletes can participate in cross-country along with another fall sport.  Cost is $45 plus jersey fee.  Please contact commissioner Mary Truax at TruaxM@walshjesuit.org for more information. 
 
Cross Country Finishes Strong!
The Crusaders cross country teams completed their season this past weekend. At the DI All-Diocese meet, the DI girls finished 15th (36 schools competed) overall and 3rd among the Akron CYO teams. DI boys finished 13th overall and 3rd among the Akron CYO teams. Competing for the Crusaders girls (in the order they finished) were Brenna Truax, Kelsey Russo, Chrissy Reichard, Sydney Dalrick, Libby Stitzel, Kelsey Frew, Solene Daigle, Jennifer Guerrriero, and Kayley Fox. The boys were Jack Linert, Adam Beucler, Michael Damato, Hunter Hanlon, Henry Stitzel, Chad Ring, and Johnny Reichard.
 
In the Akron DII and DIII championship meet, the DIII boys and girls each finished 3rd among the Akron CYO teams. DII girls finished 4th. Adam Beucler (2nd place) and Emma Lally (3rd place) received medals. Sam Regalo (10th place), Jonathan Cutri (11th place), and Sophia Daigle (15th place) earned ribbons. Other athletes who competed on Saturday were Matthew Gies, Ilyana Smith, Jennifer Ahmann, Pete Stitzel, Shane Dolan, Simon Conover, Gina Villanti, Sydney Dalrick, and Kali Chapas.
