Activities and Programs

Education of the whole person involves offering a wide range of activities. CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) sponsored sports such as soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, track and field, baseball, wrestling, and cheerleading are available.

Other activities include piano and violin lessons, scouting, choir, skiing/snowboarding, student council, student ministry, student newspaper, chess club, Power of the Pen, National Geographic Bee, Science Fair, Science Olympiad, Spelling Bee, various grade level musicals,  plays, and more.

 

Ski  Club 
WHAT: Students in grades 3-8 are invited to participate in Seton Ski Club. No experience necessary!  There are five sessions which include 4 hours of slope time with either Snowboarding or Skiing lessons and equipment rental if needed. The lessons are provided by instructors from Boston Mills Ski School.  
WHEN: Ski club meets on 5 MONDAYS immediately after school until 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Boston Mills Ski Resort in Peninsula

Chess Club

If you are interested in participating in a Wednesday after school Seton Chess Club program, please email to Sister Helen Weis, weish@setoncatholicschool.org.  A Chess Master will conduct the club.  Session begins February 8, 2012 through April 18, 2012 on Wednesdays immediately after school (3:30-4:30 p.m.).  Ten week session = $80 per child and includes chess sets, workbooks, and awards.  Information and form went home in the student backpacks.  Click here for additional information.   

Science Olympiad
  

Science Olympiad Team Seton at the State Competition at Ohio State University on April 30,2011.  Congratulations for an award-winning season! 

Seton Science Olympiad and Science Club

Science Club is for 4th – 6th grade students who love science and love to experiment.  Meetings are on Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:45 P.M. in the Art Room, starting in October and ending in March.  Parent help and support is crucial to the success of this program and there are opportunities both with and without science and/or student contact.
 
Science Olympiad is for 6th – 9th grade students who are willing to study their science topics at least 3 hours a week, work well on a team, like to have fun, and love science.  Practices will be determined individually, and competitions are all day on many Saturdays. The last competition is April 28, 2012.
